reincarnated

growing up in the 90’s we all had that one car. that one car that we loved. that one car that we poured all our adolescent money into. we did not get paid much, put just enough to make that one car, our own. eventually, most of us would grow out of it & move onto other cars. sometimes we would think about that one, we let go. how it made us feel driving it. we sometimes would try to find another but it was just not the same. only other way we can kind of relive that is to build something & put it’s spirit into it. the transformation started with its frame being powder coated matte black. the sub frame, seat bracket & battery box was then painted the classic electron blue pearl. we reimagined the EM1’s iconic Si wheels into a 2pc set. the powerplant was then installed with a 171cc big bore kit, paired with a fuel injection system. took off the rear drum brakes and replaced it with a rear disc kit to emulate the EM1’s disc brake setup. keeping the JDM vison alive, we added amber front turn signals. some carbon kevlar goodies to break apart the scheme & a polished exhaust from Japan. one of my favorite things we did for this build was the seat. sourced out a confetti material and paired it with some suede & we came out with something period correct with a twist. the Si badge tied it all up but we just have to give it a new meaning. the original Si meant, sport injected. let’s just call it scooter inspired.
